Three things that change this answer fast

1. SpaceX prices its IPO. A confidential S-1 was filed April 2026 with target listing in late June. At the reported $1.5–2 trillion valuation range, his 42.5% economic stake alone is worth $600–850B, and his total net worth would clear $1T at the high end.
2. Tesla rallies on AI / robotaxi delivery. A return to the all-time high near $480 (vs. ~$350 today) adds roughly $50B to his Tesla holdings.
3. The 2018 pay package survives final court review.Already re-approved by shareholders, but the appeal in Delaware Chancery isn't finished. A loss would meaningfully delay the milestone.

Polymarket prices “Elon Musk a trillionaire by end of 2026” at roughly 83% as of this update. Kalshi's parallel contract prices it similarly. The implied probability has climbed steadily since the SpaceX confidential filing in April.
